This is an informal and FREE writing challenge to help you (and me) to kickstart 2020 with a writing sprint.
For three weeks, every day of the week you’ll receive a writing prompt and a link to a singing bowl meditation to help you to get into the writing zone.
Once a week, there will be a live writing session. An optional Facebook Group will help us build momentum by sharing our writing.
All it takes is 10 minutes a day!

I am a published author and former academic with 20 years university teaching experience and a doctorate in literature. I’ve published an academic monograph, peer-reviewed book chapters and articles, as well as lifestyle and travel features including for the New York Times, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian.
I discovered the healing power of writing when I went through a difficult time. Writing was my anchor and allowed me to write a new chapter for myself. I left my tenured position to step into a new version of myself. I now live in Hoi An where I run a weekly writers group and lead multi-day writing retreats.
In 2020 I am completing my memoir Falling Apart Gracefully. I need this writing sprint as much as you do to kickstart my writing routine! I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
